Phuket, Thailand (02/02 – 04/02)

We went to Phuket a week before CNY! This time round was with Sylvia and Weiqian.
Our flight was in the morning at 9.00am and we reached Phuket Airport at 11.00am. We took a cab to the city and it cost us 600baht for the 1 hour trip to our HOTEL. Please head out to the meter taxi booth to look for those fixed price taxi, it’s cheaper than other mode of transport provided.

Totally LOVE the hotel and enjoyed it, it was slightly more expensive than the hotels nearby but it was worth every single cents.
We were very hungry by the time we settled down. Went to an eating place which serves nice THAI food, love the Tom Yum and Papaya Salad.
After lunch, we walked around to look for cheap island hopping packages and found one that charged us 1000baht each for Raya Island. We walked to the Shopping Mall – Jungceylon. The prices of the mall is 3 to 4 times more expensive compared to those shops at the road side. I managed to grab some very cheap bikini, sun dress and even romper. After walking around for a while, we went for a leg massage before going back to the hotel and slack at the pool!
These 2 doggies belong to the owner and they roam around the place so adorably.
All ready for the POOL!
After the swim, we head out to look for LINDA seafood which has a lot of good review online. We were a little lost and spent quite a while before we managed to find it. The FOOD was so yummy and thinking about all the dishes make me salivate now. A highly recommend place for anybody going to PHUKET!
Lemon and Chilli Sauce Fresh fish. I loved the soup so much that I almost finish it while the rest just dig into the fish.
With LINDA the boss. She’s a very nice and friendly lady who kept checking on us to ensure the food was alright.
After the heavy dinner, we went to experience the night market. There isn’t anything much except for pubs, clubs and those tiger shows. We went to the supermart at Jongceylon to grab some tibits and drinks. Took a TUK-TUK back to hotel too.

Woke up the next morning to an international standard breakfast.

The mini bus came to fetch us from our Hotel to the ferry pier to wait for the speed boat to come.
After waiting about 30 minutes, we boarded the speed boat and took us another 30 minutes to reach the beautiful RAYA ISLAND. We are glad we have chosen this place instead of the more popular places like James Bond or Phi-Phi Island. There wasn’t much people and we get to enjoy the sea, sun and sand without needing to squeeze with people.
We were brought to open sea for half an hour snorkeling. It was quite fun and we took quite a bit of photos with Sylvia’s underwater camera. Lunch was at a place of a resident where we had a simple buffet meal. The tour guide taught us to walk over to the other side of RAYA ISLAND to another beach which is more beautiful.
It was quite a nice trip to Raya Island even thou they only brought us to 2 places for snorkeling as we expected more places, worth our 1000baht.
After sending us back to the hotel and washing up, we went for another thai-massage before heading back to Linda Seafood for dinner again. The food there was too fantastic to miss, we tried a few new dishes while ordering back our favourite few!

Last Day in PHUKET! We went to Patong Beach which is a 5 minutes walk from The Nap Patong Hotel.

After spending the morning in Patong Beach, we went back to chill at the swimming pool before packing up and checking out!
Our last meal in Phuket – Patong Seafood
We took the chance to take my favourite TUK-TUK again before bidding farewell to Phuket!
Phuket Trip was fun with the company, however I don’t really love the place as it’s too commercialized now. Perhaps we shall try Krabi the next time.
